We had a total blast last week with my MM6 Platinum level clients. Not only did they have huge breakthroughs in their businesses, they’ve implemented soooo much since we last met. Each and everyone had a long list of things to celebrate, and we clapped and “woohoooed” like crazy. Here are a couple of highlights: One client made $18,497 just last week (this used to be her yearly income); another client made $118K so far this year (his first year in this business), another crossed the 6-figure mark for the first time in many years being self-employed and will double that in the next 8 months; another signed on 8 new high-paying clients and got several speaking gigs; another finished her book while signing on 6 new clients and building an association, etc. I could go on and on about how proud I am of all of their accomplishments in just the last couple of months!

A special mention goes to Karen Fagan, Platinum Mastermind client and winner of my big ‘Implementation Challenge’. She’d set the intention at our first meeting in June that she was going to win the challenge and did she ever! When the votes came in and she heard her name being called as the winner, she screamed with joy and literally ran over to give me a big hug. Congratulations, Karen! Oh, I also quickly want to ask a favor. Would you be surprised if I told you I’ve actually mentored a LOT of marketing consultants and business coaches who help others build their businesses? Many of these consultants and coaches come to me because, even though they know how to put these steps into practice, they still don’t have a full practice, or at least not consistently. WHY?

The reason is simple. They don’t market consistently. What usually happens to most self-employed professionals is they get caught up in the everyday of their business and when they have clients, they focus their entire days on those clients. (more…)

Our son Luc’s birthday happens to land in late July, when virtually all his friends are away on summer vacation – that happened to me too when I was young. So, we decided to invite all his friends for a big birthday party a month later at his favorite playground by the beach, including his classmates from last year’s class AND this year’s new classmates AND their siblings and parents. We decorated the big gazebo and picnic tables, had a ton of pizzas delivered, put out a gazillion juice boxes, set up my iPhone on the portable speakers to play a kids’ station on Pandora, and while the kids played on the swing set and playground under our watchful eyes, we adults chatted, laughed and sipped mimosas. Not a bad Saturday afternoon! (I love this picture. I’m a sucker for that smile of his, and he knows it.)

(I owe a big thanks to my personal assistant Kara for doing all the coordinating, all the shopping – especially for getting that scrumptious cake – and for being patient enough to put together 35 goodie bags. I wouldn’t have been able to do it otherwise! Oh, and to my husband Derek too, who cheerfully went back to get the cake I forgot in the fridge at home!)

Many people have massive doubt about their ability to do something really big in this world, including myself up until recently. They wonder whether they have what it takes or whether they’re “good enough.” And recently, I talked to you about taking the great leap of faith, really expanding your vision of what’s possible for your business, for your clients and for yourself, and ‘Going BIG or Going HOME’.
