Expressing Your Gratitude

Fabienne Fredrickson
December 23, 2011

It’s the end of 2011 and the holiday season is here! Whether you celebrate Christmas or not during this time of year, there is something universal we all share. No matter what religion or belief system you have, a feeling of gratitude is something we all know.

The more that you are grateful for something or someone, the more you will attract of that thing or that someone, the people, into your life. Like the Law of Circulation, the more you put out there, the more you get.

During this holiday season, it’s important to be grateful for what you have. Start by making a list of a hundred things, people and events that you experienced this year that you are grateful for. The key is I want you to think about every client that you had this year, every experience that you had, everything that you’re extremely proud about having accomplished, and write it down.

Be in that place of gratitude and be in that place of thankfulness – because most people look at the 2% that’s not going well as opposed to the 98% that went really well during the year.

When you make out that list, I really want you to be in that feeling of, “Oh my gosh, I would like to attract more and more of this.” You might think that this is not very much about client attraction and is more abut the Law of Attraction, but it actually is very “Client Attraction-y”. That’s a new term, by the way, because when you are clear about some of the things that you really enjoyed and are grateful for, you can then put those in your goals. The key is to get really clear on what it is that you really enjoyed getting.

By the way, I’m grateful for you. You will be on my list this year when I do this assignment this weekend.

Your Video Assignment

Write down a list of at least 100 things, people, events, experiences that you are grateful for having attracted and then to go back along that list and circle the things that you would like to attract more of.

How to Turn Your Business Failures into Growth and Success

Fabienne Fredrickson
December 9, 2011

Failure is GOOD. I mean that. Of course, I don’t wish it upon you every day but in healthy, small doses failure is the best thing for your business. And here’s why. If everything went well all the time, you would never have the opportunity to improve. The goal is for you to continually advance in your business because the better you get at what you do, the more people will be attracted to you, and the more they will pay you and the more your business will grow. That’s what we’re looking for for you—growth in your business. And one of the best ways to grow is to fail.

Speaking personally, I’ve made so many mistakes in my business and have experienced failures (both big and small) so many times. But here’s what you must remember—they only stay failures if you don’t learn from them. The growth happens when you learn from your mistakes. If you just sit there and wallow in your failures and not do anything about them, you simply cannot make your business better.

One of the things I teach my clients is a concept that I call Groundhog Day.  Remember the movie with Bill Murray? In it, Bill’s character has to re-live the same day over and over again. Toward the end of the movie, by knowing all that went wrong previously and learning from his mistakes, he is able to perfect all that he has to do to win over his love interest.

Look what has happened in the Mastermind program we offer. The first year, things were good but I made a lot of mistakes. The second year, things improved because I learned from those mistakes. Now years later, the reason our clients get so many amazing results from being part of our Mastermind is because we have perfected the system, through failure after failure.

Your Video Assignment

I want you to apply the Groundhog Day concept to all that you do in your business. After every thing you do in your business, whether it’s an event, a video, signing up a new client—I want you to write down the answers to the following three questions:

1. What went well? What about this experience really worked?

2. What didn’t go well? What about this experience didn’t work well at all?

3. Knowing what you know now, if you had to do it all over again, what would you do differently?

When you can document and learn from each experience, then you can create a system so that you never have to repeat that failure again but instead continually improve.  Here’s to your success!

How to Maximize Your Content

Fabienne Fredrickson
November 11, 2011

When I first started my business, I quickly learned that the old saying “content is king” was very true. I worked hard at creating content in the form of articles, how to’s, teleseminars and workshops. I was very successful at increasing my credibility and visibility, but I was constantly creating brand new content took up a lot of my time.

Many years ago, I held a regular monthly workshop for prospects. Each month I’d spend a full day creating all the content for that month’s training session-new and different each time. I was only charging around $25 per workshop. And after awhile, I found that each month the same prospects would come back for more. (Why not, right?) I was putting so much time and energy into the preparation but was only getting a couple of new clients. I soon decided to instead offer the same content each month. I didn’t have to re-invent the wheel each time and the best part was that I was getting fresh, new faces showing up each month – which resulted in less work and more new, paying clients! See how much sense this makes?

Your Video Assignment

Take a look at the content you’ve already created and determine how you can re-purpose it in your own business. How can you take the same topic and start using it as a lead generator like I did to get more clients? You’ll make your business more scalable, leverage your time and your marketing, all the while getting more done with less effort!

This is just one of the many best practices we dive deep into with the students of The Client Attraction Business School, the premier training school for growth-minded entrepreneurs looking to quickly attract more clients and make more money. I cried all day long…

Fabienne Fredrickson
November 1, 2011

There gets to be a time in your life when you know deep inside that it’s time to leave the old “you” behind, and step into the next big version of yourself.

This happened for me a few years ago, and I sobbed and sobbed from morning to night the day I realized I was meant to be playing a bigger game in my business and in service to the world.

So, what does it take to play a bigger game, anyway, and what do you have to do to walk away from playing too small?

And what was it that triggered me crying alllllll day long? Find out what happened and see me walk you through it all by watching the video

In this video, I talk about what needs to happen on the INSIDE for you to work with 200 or 2000 clients, as opposed to just 20 (and be handsomely rewarded for it.)

Actually, there are *7* ways that you sabotage your efforts every single day without even realizing it (I know, scary, but it’s not your fault, and it’s easy to fix.)

Click the link below to see what they are and why you’re keeping yourself playing too small and why it’s affecting you, your business, and what you make:

How to Play a Bigger Game

This powerful and thought-provoking video is another free-gift for you as my loyal subscriber.

It’s the second video of a BRAND NEW free-training program about how to stop playing small and play a much bigger game than you’re playing now.

If there is ONE video series from me that you watch this year – please let it be this one. The hundreds of comments pouring in from those who’ve watched just the first video in the series are really moving and touching:

How to Play a Bigger Game

The video is pure content and teaching from meon how you can play a biggergame and change the world.

p.s. If you liked my free gift that I gave you recently teaching you how to manifest new clients – you will LOVE this. And, there is no catch here. Just another way on my part to help you share your brownies with the world.

p.p.s. Can you do me a favor though? I need you to help spread the love and share my video with your friends, OK? Alone, I can do so little, but together, you and me sharing this in a big way, we can have an even BIGGER impact:

Official Press Release: My Thought-Provoking Video Issues a Challenge to Women Entrepreneurs to Play a Bigger Game

Fabienne Fredrickson
October 31, 2011

Last week I released my first video for my  brand-new 4-part “How to Play a Bigger Game” training program for entrepreneurs and small business owners. In it, I  addressed a statement made by the Dalai Lama at the Vancouver Peace Summit in 2009. He said, “The world will be saved by the Western woman.” (You can view the official press release here.)

I do agree but I feel that the Dalai Lama was off just a little bit in his statement about the future, as I explain in the first video of the series, entitled Dream a Bigger Dream. My announcement was met with some controversy however my intent was not to offend but rather to challenge women entrepreneurs to start playing a much bigger game in their businesses.

I know from personal experience that self-imposed limits and internal struggles hold people back from achieving their full potential. But several years ago I made the decision to step up and step out and committed herself to reaching as many as I could in order to share my unique talents and abilities with other entrepreneurs who needed these solutions. I ended up crossing the million dollar mark in my own business at the age of 38 and has subsequently doubled my business nearly every year to the multi-million dollar level and more importantly works with thousands of clients, helping to change their businesses and lives—and the lives of those around them.

Now I am sharing my proven step-by-step women business coaching system in my brand new, never-before-seen high content, high value free training program, teaching entrepreneurs and small business owners around the globe my insider secrets to playing a bigger game in business, serving many more clients and making more money.

This training program will culminate on my one-time-only free training call where I’ll reveal additional content and tie each training video together for a step-by-step process guaranteed to result in more clients, more income and a bigger purpose for each viewer’s business and life.

My first video training, where I teach my Abundance Formula (the very same one that I use with  clients and students) was just released to hundreds of rave reviews from participants.(See comments on the video page.)

So, what does Playing a Bigger Game have to do with the Dalai Lama’s statement? We entrepreneurs have the ability to change people’s lives through the work we do. It’s our divine duty to get out there and reach as many people as possible. With each client we help, we create a ripple effect that contributes to everlasting change in the world.

Register for my mportant, in-depth training program, at absolutely no charge at Video #1 is live and you can access it immediately—and yes, you’ll also get my full explanation on why I think the Dalai Lama was off just a little bit in his statement. Hear me out, ok? Watch the video here.

Get Clear On Your Niche And Expertise

Fabienne Fredrickson
September 14, 2011

“I don’t know the key to success, but the key to failure is trying to please everybody.”
– Bill Cosby

No one likes a generalist (do you want a generalist performing a quadruple bypass on you, or do you want the best coronary surgeon in the country doing that?) so it’s time for you to get really specific on what makes you an expert in your field.

A niche doesn’t always have to do with a particular type of client. Rather, it sometimes has to do with a particular situation you solve or some THING or RESULT at which you are considered an expert.

An example: perhaps you are known within the telecom industry for lowering phone bills up to 90%. Maybe you have a knack for turning around graphic design projects in one day. Whatever it is, it needs to be one of the things that sets you apart in the marketplace and gives you an advantage over your colleagues.

And the clearer you are about this niche or expertise, the more clients will seek you out, the more referrals you will receive and the more business you will close.

I’ll give you myself as an example. Not only do I have a Client Niche (highly successful self-employed professionals who want to be shown exactly how to get more clients quickly and consistently) but I also have an expertise/niche in Client Attraction. That means that, I don’t coach, write or speak on ANYTHING that doesn’t help YOU get more clients. And because of that, my reputation as a real problem solver continues to grow rapidly.

Your Client Attraction Assignment:
1. Niching based on “thinking small” rather than “thinking wide” will help you get a lot more attention right away. Experts are more sought after than generalists, they get paid more by the hour, attract more media attention and get better results for their clients (meaning more referrals too). What’s your expertise?

2. It’s very hard to be all things to all people and to succeed. But being the expert on something gives you HUGE returns. Using your compelling story and your personal experience so far, if you had a niche or could be known for solving just one type of problem, what would it be?

Now, if you’re just starting out and trying to fill your practice in the FIRST place, then follow a step-by-step system that feels easy and authentic to you. The Client Attraction Home Study System™ gives you the most important things to do to set up simple, solid systems, so that you consistently fill your pipeline and continually get new clients. It’s all step-by-step, not a big mishmash of things. So, you do step one of the system, and when you’re done with that, you move on to step two, and so on. All the tools, scripts, templates, and examples are handed to you on a silver platter. Easy. You can get it at

Enjoying the first week of this month-long vacation

Fabienne Fredrickson
August 6, 2011

There was a time, when I first started my business, that I planned out my schedule the way I wanted to live my life. So, I made it a point to set up my business so that I’d take a full day off per week, a week off per month and at least one month off per year- approximately 18 weeks of vacation per year. (EVERYBODY needs down time to succeed.) And for a while, that was my life, until I got busier and busier and started multiplying my income, and then hired full-time employees who counted on me to be there and drive this train. And somehow, although I had way more vacation than the average entrepreneur or corporate professional, it wasn’t what I’d enjoyed in the beginning of my entrepreneurial career.

Well… I made a HUGE decision several months back that I am taking this entire month of August off to unwind from a super-busy year, re-charge my batteries, re-connect with loved ones and friends I don’t often see and to feed my soul with some playtime, deep reading, writing and just “being.” My team has been wonderful in helping me set up systems and we’re encouraging our clients and students to do the same in their own business. So this is my first week off and I have to admit it feels a little strange… but at the same time it’s wonderful. I feel as though I’ve given myself a precious gift and although it will take a few days to get into a new routine, I intend to soak it all in and truly enjoy every minute. I hope you do the same… it makes you more Client Attractive!

Are You Blaming Others Because You Don’t Have Enough Clients?

Fabienne Fredrickson
July 29, 2011

"The more you say to yourself, ‘I am responsible,’ the stronger, better and finer a person you become. And every part of your life will improve at the same time."

-Brian Tracy

One of the themes running through my life currently, and in the lives of my clients, is that of Personal Responsibility. If you’ve been to my workshop and on any of my calls, you know that I believe strongly in Personal Responsibility (I often call it ‘The No Excuses Approach’) and how I do not believe you can ever achieve BIG success without it. It’s a topic that few marketers ever really talk about in depth, but one that is crucial for success.

You see, each time I bump up against a new level of success in my business, a lot of my old "stuff" comes back up. I’ve caught myself in the past comparing my success to others with more success, feeling resentful, feeling less-than, and sometimes even BLAMING others or my own particular situation or for not being where I would LIKE to be in terms of success in that moment. And believe me, it doesn’t feel good. But perhaps you know exactly what I’m talking about…

What I noticed is that I’m not the only one. As different people in my life, both personally and professionally, move up to the next level, or really WANT to move up to the next level, but instead, begin to feel frustrated, I see them pointing fingers OUTSIDE themselves, blaming their situation, a certain person, the system, the economy, a program they took, or whatever else they can find to shuck responsibility for where they are.

What I also noticed is that, in the end, I’m ultimately responsible for everything in my life, every increase in my in-come and success over the last few years. But most importantly, I’m also responsible for every setback. I can blame no one but myself.

Everything I have in my life exists because of my actions, my behaviors, my words and thoughts. And it’s the same for you. Every decision we make creates our circumstances and because of that, we are ultimately responsible for each success and failure, happiness, unhappiness and financial situation.

I recently found an article by Brian Tracy, one of the world’s leading authorities on personal and business success. This article has become one of my favorites and I refer to it often and ask my clients to read it too, especially when they start comparing their success to others with more success, feeling resentful of their situation, blaming others, or feeling angry and ‘less-than’ because their particular situation is not what they’d like it to be. Here’s an excerpt:

"Responsibility goes hand in hand with success, achievement, motivation, happiness and self-actualization. It’s the absolute minimum requirement for the accomplishment of everything you could ever really want in life. Accepting that you’re completely responsible for yourself and realizing that no one is coming to the rescue is the beginning of peak performance…

The opposite of accepting responsibility is making excuses and blaming people and things for what’s going on in your life. And since everything we do is a matter of habit, if people get into the habit of making excuses, they get into the habit of evading responsibility at the same time.

If they set a goal or objective for themselves, they immediately create an excuse that they hold in reserve just in case the accomplishment of the goal is too difficult or requires more self-discipline and persistence than they had thought.

As soon as things start to go poorly, irresponsible people trot out their excuse and let themselves off the hook. But that won’t get them anywhere in the long run… The more responsibility you take, the more in control you are. And the freer you are, especially in your own mind, to make decisions and to do the things you want to do. So there’s a direct relationship between responsibility, control, freedom and happiness.

A person who is completely irresponsible is subject to anger, hostility, fear, resentment, doubt – all sorts of negative emotions. And here’s why. All negative emotions tend to be associated with blame. Fully 99 percent of all our problems exist only because we’re able to blame someone or something for them. The instant we stop blaming, our negative emotions begin disappearing.

What’s the antidote to blaming? It’s simple! Since your mind can hold only one thought at a time, either positive or negative, you can override the tendency to blame and become angry simply by saying, firmly, “I am responsible!" You can’t accept responsibility for a situation and be angry at the same time… The acceptance of responsibility negates negative emotions and short-circuits any tendencies toward unhappiness. In fact, the acceptance of responsibility often gives you insight into what you should do to resolve the situation.

Everything that is happening to you on the outside is due to something that is happening to you on the inside, so the first place to look is within. As soon as you do that, you begin to see things that you had completely missed when you were busy blaming others and making excuses. You begin to see that you’re responsible in large measure for the things that are happening to you.

You’re earning today exactly what you’re worth-not a penny more, not a penny less. In life, we tend to get exactly what we deserve. If you’re not satisfied with the amount you’re getting, look around you, at people who are doing the kind of work you would like to do and earning the kind of mo-ney you would like to earn. Ask them what they’re doing differently from what you’re doing. What are the causes of the effects they’re getting? Once you know what they are, accept complete responsibility for your situation, apply your wonderful mind and abilities, back them with willpower and self-discipline, and get busy making the changes you need to make to enjoy the life you want to enjoy."

Your Client Attraction Assignment:

You’ve heard the saying, “Speak the truth. The truth will set you free." In this case, I want you to be VERY honest with yourself in answering the following… stop hiding behind your justifications or get off your high horse and answer the following:

  • Have you recently blamed someone or something for the fact that you haven’t yet achieved what you wanted in your business?
  • Are you using excuses (even JUSTIFYING your situation) so that you don’t have to take action in terms of getting clients or be embarrassed in case "it doesn’t work out"?
  • Have you harbored resentment towards someone or something because you feel you were "gipped" in some way?
  • Do you feel anger or have lashed out in the past because your business is not where you want it to be yet?
  • Are you pointing fingers, saying "This is the reason I’m not making more"?
  • Have you compared yourself to someone else more financially successful than you currently are, feeling less-than? Have you perhaps even JUDGED that person based on their success?

Personally speaking, I know that I’ve been able to answer "Yes" to all of these questions at some point in my self-employed career. Whether I knew it consciously or not at the time, it all resulted from avoiding responsibility for what I was creating in my life. It didn’t feel good, and it certainly did not get me moving forward towards success.

The key for me has been to be honest with myself about my responsibility. No one else can create my life except for me. Only I can control my thoughts, words, actions and behaviors. Blaming or pointing fingers does absolutely no good. In fact, it doesn’t work and it’s usually just an excuse that we use, in case we fail. That way, we don’t need to be embarrassed. We can just say it wasn’t our fault. NONSENSE.

Consider this a fork in the road of your success. This is your opportunity to step up in your business, stop using excuses, stop resenting or comparing yourself and STOP blaming others for what you have or don’t have in your life. It’s time to take a NO EXCUSES approach to doing what you have to do to get clients, start being consistent in your marketing, work through the programs you’ve bought, or clear your schedule to attend events (no matter what else has "come up”) that will give you the solution you SAY you’ve been wanting. Begin to take FULL responsibility and making different choices and your life and business will never be the same. I promise you that; I’m living proof of it.

Taking a no-excuses approach, removing fears and negative beliefs is crucial if you want to finally move to the next level of your success and income level. So join me for 3 days in September and I’ll give you all my shortcuts and the exact steps you need to use to break through the self-imposed barriers currently stopping you from multiplying your income, increase your confidence, put an end to your struggle so you can finally live the freedom-based lifestyle you deserve…guaranteed.
